Privacy Policy

Privacy in one sentence: Stillz processes all video work on your device. Only purchase data and an anonymous identifier are shared with RevenueCat, our purchase management provider, to verify your Pro access.
Overview
Stillz is a video frame extraction app for iPhone and iPad. This policy explains how the app handles your data. The short answer: Stillz does not collect your videos, your photos or your personal details. The only data that leaves your device is the purchase information described below.
What we collect
When you open Stillz, an anonymous identifier is sent to RevenueCat (our purchase management provider) to check whether you have Stillz Pro. When you buy or restore Stillz Pro, or leave a tip, your App Store purchase receipt is sent to RevenueCat as well, to verify and manage the purchase. No name, email address, or payment information is ever collected or transmitted by Stillz. Payment is handled entirely by Apple.
Photo and video access
Stillz requests access to your photo library only so you can select a video to work with. Your photos and videos are processed entirely on your device. Stillz never uploads or shares them, and does not access them outside of the app session. If a video is stored in iCloud Photos, iOS downloads it from your own iCloud account so that Stillz can open it.
Metadata
When the "Include Metadata" setting is enabled, Stillz embeds metadata from the source video (such as GPS location, camera model, and creation timestamp) into the image you save. This metadata is written directly to the photo in your library and stays on your device. Stillz does not read or transmit this metadata for any other purpose.
Third-party services
Stillz uses RevenueCat (revenuecat.com) to manage Stillz Pro purchases and subscriptions. RevenueCat receives your Apple App Store receipt and an anonymous device identifier (a random UUID generated on your device, not linked to your name, email, or Apple ID) to verify your entitlement. RevenueCat also reads the date of your first App Store account activity to identify founding members who installed Stillz before 20 May 2026. Apple's data collection
Apple may collect limited, anonymised usage data through standard iOS and App Store frameworks (for example, App Store Connect analytics). This data is collected and governed solely by Apple's Privacy Policy at apple.com/legal/privacy and is outside of Stillz's control. Stillz does not receive, access, or process this data.
Children's privacy
Stillz does not contain features that are inappropriate for users of any age. Because the app does not collect personal information, there are no special provisions required for younger users.
Changes to this policy
If this policy is ever updated, the new effective date will be shown at the top of this page. We will not introduce any further data collection without updating this policy first.
